HOW TO START IMAS

Who Can Join IMAS?

Anyone can study CIMA, whether you’re new to business and accounting or already have some experience. The only requirements are competence in Mathematics and the English language. If you completed your Matric with Maths Literacy in South Africa, you are also welcome to enroll with us. If you hold a relevant degree or qualification you may be exempted from certain subjects in the Certificate in Business Accounting and CIMA Professional Qualification

Choose Your Route

Matriculants

As a matriculant, you start CIMA by studying the CIMA Certificate in Business Accounting, which will give you a solid grounding in the fundamentals of management accounting. The certificate is a standalone qualification as well as being the stepping stone to the CIMA Professional Qualification.

Undergrad/Graduate

As a matriculant, you start CIMA by studying the CIMA Certificate in Business Accounting, which will give you a solid grounding in the fundamentals of management accounting. The certificate is a standalone qualification as well as being the stepping stone to the CIMA Professional Qualification.

Working

If you have no formal education in business or finance, you will start by studying the CIMA Certificate in Business Accounting, which will give you a solid grounding in the fundamentals or management accounting. You can study it as a stand-alone qualification or as a stepping stone to the CIMA Professional Qualification.
